33th Sketch Crawl/ Berlin

Last Saturday I was walking around in Mitte and Wedding here in Berlin. It was a sunny but quite cold day. So I was sitting beside the road with my woolen hat, a scarf and my mittens and listening to "The Accidential" The right autumn music as I find, a bit of Melancholy and Cozyness. And while I was sketching along in the cold the whole Berlin party crowd was passing by. And that`s the outcome of my stroll...

ABC Illustration

I know I have been a bit slack with my postings lately. But I am back... these are some of my designs for a magnetic alphabet commissoned by Smarties/ cobra youth communications. I worked on this project together with a friend of mine Jasmine Herz (who by the way brings out a lovely calender every year... so go and get yourself one!)

Annecy

This was the first time for me at the Annecy Animation Festival. I was quite impressed by the atmosphere. This small and touristy town which gets flooded every summer by animation interested people. Here are a few doodels from my sketchbook. Tried out different kind of pens.

Animals in Bathrooms

So, here are some of the final illustrations for this pitch. I worked on these together with Jakob Schuh from Studio Soi. The elk relaxing on the toilet seat is our favourite.

Animal Sketches

Somewhen during last winter I worked on a pitch for a manufacturer of sanitary ware. As the issue of illustrating personal hygiene can be quite a delicate matter we (I worked on this together with Studio Soi) decided to have animals introducing these bathroom products. This is the first load of sketches I did before I worked on the the final illustrations of this pitch.

This small but fine event in Salzburg celebrates it`s first anniversary in May. Congratulations ladies!

Froschsong/ ZDF

Here are two filmstills from an animated shortfilm I did for Studio Soi about two year ago. It is an informative short about frogs. Johannes Weiland the director of this project intended a combination of 2D and 3D animation.

Princess

About two years ago a friend of mine asked me if I could design a character she can modle and animate. So I did a little princess for her as she at times reminds me of one herself ;) . I recently reworked it, and here you go.

I wish you all a good start into the new year. May it be a good and interesting one. My advise, don`t make new year resolutions, they just make you feel bad if you don`t live up to them.

I did this sketch on the Illustration Fiday topic "muddy" but didn`t finish it in time. Thought I could share it with you. Some nymphs bathing in a muddy pond.

New Feminale Illustration

The girls from the Feminale Team requested a pinguin for their nex flyer. And here is a smart looking lady pinguin celebrating the new year with a glas of cherry liqueure .

Datenübertragung/ ZDF

This is a short film project which explains children how data transfer works. I did some sketches for the background design. The design of the brilliantly crazy looking little workers comes from Torben Meier. On Studio Soi`s Website you can watch a part of it if you "follow the frog".
